IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals back as Dubai Royals in Dubai

Following the gallantry and celebratory 'Bihu' of Ryan Parag and Rahul Tewatia from Wednesday evening in Dubai, the Rajasthan Royals performed brilliantly on Sunday to consolidate their position against the Delhi Capitals, who made their sixth Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 Won. Tops the table with 12 points. Chasing 162 runs, Rajasthan were at 86/3 in the 11th over when Ben Stokes (41 for 35) was dismissed. He lost five wickets for 52 runs within the next nine overs and was restricted to 148/8. With this 13-run win, Delhi returned to the path of victory after a superb performance in their last out against Mumbai Indians.

Jose Butler (22 off nine) and Sanju Samson (25 for 18) laid the groundwork for Rajasthan as Stokes also tried to play the role of anchor, but Stokes and Samson were dismissed in the interval of 1.2 overs. A slide started from each other. The 2008 champions could not around.

Steven Smith (1) departed early but Samson and Stokes added 46 runs for the third wicket and handed Rajasthan the command of the match.

However, after his dismissal, Robin Uthappa (32 of 27) was the only batsman to occupy the crease for some time as Parag (1) was run out in unfortunate circumstances - Uthappa changing his mind. Parag was called for a run before - and Tewatia (14 not out from 18) gave up too much for the end.
